Verstappen wins Canadian GP to equal Senna total
Red Bull driver takes his fourth win in a row
Max Verstappen won a gripping wet-dry Canadian Grand Prix on Sunday after a tense duel to the finish line with Ferrari's Carlos Sainz. The Dutchman took the lead on lap 20 after starting from third on the grid and held off the advances of Sainz to take his fourth win of the season.
Verstappen now has 175 career victories, equaling the total of legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna. The win also marks Red Bull's fifth straight victory in Canada, a record for the team.
Sainz finished second, just 0.993 seconds behind Verstappen, while Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton completed the podium.
